Master Bathroom or Spa Retreat?

You can have both! This large master bathroom had a small shower and a large corner tub. The gold finishes were outdated. The mirrors were large and positioned opposite each other, resulting in a “mirror effect.” The layout seemed cramped for such a large space, and there was no room for a towel bar outside the shower.

Bulky Tub and Small Shower

To remedy the concerns, we squared the ceiling, removed the ledge behind the tub, eliminated the knee wall, and moved the smaller vanity to the right. The rear wall becomes our focal point, with tile from corner to corner. We focused on creating a larger shower footprint with frameless glass and installing a freestanding tub with a beautiful floor mounted tub faucet. The freestanding tub is surrounding by custom wainscoting.

Eliminating some can lighting, adding vanity sconces, and reducing the mirror sizes provides options for softer lighting and balances the space.

The Delta Cassidy collection in chrome with low arc faucets and floor mounted tub filler is the perfect choice to achieve an updated look with softer edges. The mirrors with a thin silver frame provide just enough of a decorative touch without stealing the stage. We used quartz vanity tops for a clean look and low maintenance.
