Creating a Bathroom Oasis
One project leads to another! This homeowner wanted a larger kitchen and an updated master bathroom. Due to the layout of the home, gaining more kitchen space meant changing the laundry room to act as an extension to the kitchen. The laundry moved to the oversized master bathroom by borrowing some space from the neighboring oversized powder room.
Let’s start with the laundry room, now an extension of the kitchen. New cabinets and a tall pantry make up the new space. Several outlets to use for a future coffee bar, as well as space for smaller kitchen appliances, will free up space in the main kitchen.

The oversized master bathroom originally had a large and bulky corner tub and a small shower. The vanities were on opposite sides of the room. This space is redesigned to create a laundry closet, borrowing space from the adjoining powder room and relocating the vanity.

The new shower certainly utilizes the available space in this bathroom! With a larger footprint, a ceiling mounted rain head, separate shower bar and sprayer as well as a bench, this homeowner now has plenty of space in the shower! A heated towel rack replaces a traditional towel rack for added luxury. Double recessed niches provide places for all of the necessities.

The outdated, bulky tub becomes the new home for vanities and bathroom storage. There is a lazy Susan in that corner! The window is replaced with a smaller unit so that the natural light can continue to fill this room. In the evenings, the new pendant lighting helps to balance the space. A dimmer is installed for mood control.

The wall mounted vanity faucets are the perfect compliment to the subway backsplash and quartz countertops. Vanity mirrors are kept unframed and basic, which allows your desired focal points to stay front and center!
